History

The idea of an alumni association was born among a group of friends who left Mbouda High School in the late 1980s. Thanks to the strong friendships they forged at this school, grateful for the quality of education they received there, and sensitive to the modest social conditions of most students who often achieve the feat of elevating their school to the ranks of the best secondary education institutions in Cameroon through their results in national exams, these former students decided to support the students and the school as a whole.

To translate their intentions into reality, these former classmates turned friends understood that individual actions or those of a small group of friends would have limited impact, despite all their good intentions. They therefore decided to launch a project that would bring together other energies, namely an alumni association of this school. Thus, the Association of Alumni of Mbouda High School, abbreviated as ALYMBO, was created in 2012 before officially coming into existence in 2013 following receipt of declaration No. 026/RDA/F.31/SASC signed by the prefect of the Bamboutos department on September 12, 2013.
